The Department of Humanities & Basic Sciences which comprises of well-qualified and dedicated faculty for courses in Applied Math, Applied Physics and Chemistry, and Communication Skills, is responsible for orienting all F.E. students towards a successful academic career at Fr. C.R.I.T.

Apart from teaching the above-mentioned courses and some second year courses, which form the basis for all branches of engineering, this department familiarizes the new entrants with the philosophy of our organization and the value-based approach to education that has earned this college its distinctive reputation.
